The brief from ARE was to design a café with a full working kitchen and separate coffee counter that provided a light and airy design to work with the interior aesthetics of the Airport, the design also had to connect back to its locality – Canberra.

CAFE OFFERING – CANBERRA AIRPORT
A soft colour scheme of moss green, warm white, tan brown and oak timber was used throughout the design, chosen to build on the airport’s light palette. Colour inspiration was then taken from Canberra’s natural farmland surroundings. Hanging plants enhance the visual qualities of the cafe’s calming palette, cultivating a relaxing atmosphere through the green injection.
